Job description

Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Logistics Supervisor in our Edmonton Facility. You will be primarily accountable for overseeing the hourly warehouse, kitting, shipping, and receiving teams, driving daily goal attainment through leadership, lean principles, and collaboration. You will coordinate the day-to-day logistics activities to meet safety standards, production schedules, volume, cost, and quality.

What will you do?

1. Ensure safety, on-time service, quality, productivity, operator training, and flexibility for various customers.
2. Manage warehouse, shipping, and receiving operations following the Schneider Performance System (SPS) guidelines.
3. Maintain inventory accuracy, oversee kitting, and side line replenishment.
4. Coordinate JIT material delivery to production.
5. Collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure optimal material flow.
6. Motivate the team and collaborate on ideas to eliminate barriers and exceed goals.
7. Optimize warehouse layout to increase productivity and space utilization.
8. Monitor logistics performance, costs, quality, and delivery metrics.
9. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
10. Manage staffing, performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions.
11. Assist occasionally on weekends if required.

What qualifications will make you successful?

1. High school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
2. Knowledge of logistics processes, inventory systems, and production requirements.
3. At least 5 years of experience as a Logistics Supervisor.
4. Experience with SAP and Warehouse Management Systems.
5. Strong leadership, motivation, and problem-solving skills.
6. Understanding of lean principles and PC applications.
7. Ability to manage time effectively to meet schedules.
