Job description

We are currently recruiting for the role of Program Administrative Assistant to join our LINC team in Surrey, BC. This part-time position consists of 14.25 hours per week. The Program Administrative Assistant is responsible for the LINC program which has a student body of approximately 250 students.

The key areas of responsibility are :

  • Answering clients enquiries in person, by phone and via email;
  • Updating and maintaining client wait lists;
  • Ensuring all documentation is processed for student registration, following up where needed;
  • Ensuring files are up to date including record keeping in iCare;
  • Liaising with LINC instructors and daycare staff;
  • Administrative tasks including the preparation of student letters, class lists and attendance sheets;
  • Processing client referrals;
  • Opening and closing procedures;
  • Program supplies inventories and performing all administrative duties.

Qualified candidates will possess :

  • Post-secondary training in Office Administration;
  • Minimum 2-years experience in an office environment;
  • Exceptional written and oral English language communication skills;
  • Computer and internet skills, including entire Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, MS Teams), iCare and other databases;
  • Experience working in funded programs and non-profit, preferred;
  • Second language an asset;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic group environment.
