Job description

Position Summary

To administer the store people practices and processes in a timely and professional manner, while maintaining confidentiality at all times. The Personnel Manager is a Cultural Champion within the Store, provides dedicated people support, informs on a broad range of administrative and compliance functions, and supports the implementation and ongoing success of our Self Serve Enablement processes.

What You'll Do
  • Acts as a Cultural Champion in store to ensure all people celebrations and events are coordinated (e.g., WIR events, SIP celebrations, Cultural Awareness Events, Holiday Celebrations, Charity Committee). Ensures all communication boards are up to date with current people program information, benefits, and resources.
  • Champions the "This is that place" initiative, Associate Promise initiatives, recognition activities. Acts as a first line of contact for open door concerns and informs associates about policies, practices, programs, benefits, and pay.
  • Co-facilitates orientations; supports organization of Grass Roots and AES activities to ensure associates can attend meetings and complete surveys.
  • Coordinates recruitment planning for key seasons with the management team by monitoring headcount guidelines; communicates benefits re-enrollment activities and directs associates to Walmart Benefits Centre for questions and support.
  • Ensures associates enroll in Direct Deposit and Paperless Pay on Orientation Day; supports management by reviewing attendance reports, completes "We Care Calls" for reported absences, and assists in calling associates to fill critical shifts as needed.
  • Requests ROE for associates on Leave of Absence and when loss of earnings begins.

Assists associates with completing time clock edits, GTA processes, and self-serve tasks as required.

  • Reviews and monitors GTA exception reports to identify issues such as missed lunches, late punches, punching errors, or long shifts, and provides management with follow-up information. Ensures weekly schedules are posted and filed appropriately. Coordinates new associate training and ensures required training completion when changing roles. Assists Store Manager with planning and enrolling management in training programs.
  • Trains and directs daily activities of the Back-Up Personnel Associate.
