Job description

Aston Carter's client in Burnaby is looking for a Receptionist / Document Control Clerk who has excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills to work at their Engineering Consulting office. This role is meant to cover a 12 month maternity leave but has a possibility to extend/become permanent.

Duties and responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

• Reception: answer phone calls, greet staff and clients in a professional manner.

• Document Control: responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of incoming and outgoing drawings and transmittals. Control the numbering, sorting, filing, storing and retrieval of both electronic and hard copy documents produced by our Engineers and Designers.

• Willing to take on a variety of roles in the office depending on workflow.

MUST HAVE

- 1-3 years of document control experience

- Software: MS Office, Adobe

- Must be able to talk clearly and articulate themselves when they answer the phone

○ Not soft spoken, thick accent

- Reliable transportation

○ Sometimes they need this person to pick up supplies, lunches for meetings etc

***Location is not easily accessible by transit***

NICE TO HAVE

- Oracle, Citrix, ADLP or SFTP (last 2 are very similar to SharePoint - file sharing platform - clients upload docs, they download)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Shift? M-F, 8am-4:30pm

- 30m unpaid lunch break

- Can flex a little bit on start/end time (15m)

WFH? On site, 5 days per week

- Can flex if sick

Parking?

Paid and free

- Free fills by 7am

Transit?

Not very transit accessible

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $29.00/hr.
