Job summary

Dyson Canada is seeking a dynamic Expert to represent an international technology brand in-store. This role is in-person only and requires regular visits to multiple retail locations to demonstrate Dyson products, support retailer staff, and engage customers, while delivering an inspiring shopper experience.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of in-person retail selling, comfort with technology and prestige beauty brands, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of in-person retail selling experience.
• Experience with technology and prestige beauty brands preferred.
• Ability to lead events such as Masterclasses and speak to groups.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Dyson products in-store and engage customers.
• Lead events and masterclasses within assigned stores.

• Perform visual merchandising, maintain displays, replenish stock, and report results.

Experts work within a territory of assigned stores to educate retail sales associates, lead beauty events, and demonstrate Dyson products to clients. About The Role

• This role is in-person only and requires regular visits to multiple third-party retail locations to represent Dyson, support retailer staff, and engage directly with customers.


• Demonstrate values and behaviors consistent with Dyson’s culture


• Utilize the Dyson-developed sales model to engage and excite shoppers while achieving key success factors


• Provide the ultimate shopper experience in an engaging and well-informed professional fashion


• Understand the shopper’s needs through discovery and consultation to identify the appropriate products to address their needs and desires


• Demonstrate the appropriate Dyson tool in a clear and concise manner which permits the shopper to duplicate the actions successfully at home


• Adhering to in-store demonstration and health & safety standards


• Act as the in-store representative for all Dyson products while present in store


• Educate Retail Sales Associate partners and shoppers on specific product features and benefits of various technologies


• Perform operational duties such as visual merchandising, maintaining display cleanliness, replenishing stock, and other related activities


• Successfully utilize CRM and HRIS systems to complete daily reporting in an accurate and timely manner


• Perform other duties, as assigned

About You

• Minimum of 2 years of in-person retail selling experience


• Experience working with technology and within the beauty industry, preferably prestige/luxury brands


• Comfortable with leading events such as Masterclasses, and speaking to groups of people


• Ability to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours


• Ability to work retail hours (standard, peak, holiday) including a minimum of three (3) days/week including every Saturday/Sunday


• Ability to transport demonstration equipment/supplies to and from assigned location(s) and the ability to travel within a defined territory


• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs


• Ability to work well with others and establish strong relationships within Dyson Canada Ltd as well as with our third-party retail partners


• Strong negotiation skills combined with adaptable approach to selling


• Ambitious and self-motivated sales individual who exhibits confidence and professionalism


• Proven track record of successful sales experience, achieving or exceeding quotas


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Self-motivated, able to work independently and understands when to seek guidance


• Comfortable with computer skills in Microsoft suite of products including Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook as well as the ability to use an iPad and corresponding applications
