Job summary

Kibbi in Canada is seeking skilled construction workers to read blueprints and install drywall and suspended ceilings on-site. You will supervise apprentices and crew members while fabricating ceilings and installing drywall and framing, using hand and power tools.

This role requires on-site work at various locations and the ability to handle demanding physical tasks. Applicants should have 1 year to less than 2 years of experience and a high school diploma, with English language proficiency.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of blueprints and specifications is required.
• Experience in supervising a work crew is preferred.
• On-site construction experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
• Instruct apprentices
• Supervise other workers
• Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
• Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools
• Prepare wall and ceiling layouts
