Job summary

Kibbi in Edmonton, Canada, is seeking a drywall installer with no prior experience. Training will be provided as you work on commercial and residential sites.

Responsibilities include applying joint compound, sanding seams, cutting and installing drywall, securing sheets to studs, taping joints, and installing ceiling components such as acoustic tile and metal studs. On-site work is required; relocation costs are covered by the employer.

Qualifications

• English required for communication and instructions.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• No experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife.
• Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets.
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.
• Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath.
