Job Description

The Catering Driver/Porter supports the Catering logistics team in running successful catering orders and events within and around the GTA. The role involves event set up, transporting equipment, food, or other supplies, assisting during the event, and cleaning up afterward.

The Day to Day:

• Communicate with the Expeditor regarding delivery details
• Transport and deliver catering food and beverage with all vital supplies and equipment
• Safely deliver products via foot and/or vehicle while meeting deadlines
• Practice road rules and follow driving routes in the company vehicle using your extensive knowledge of Toronto streets
• Assist with general tasks including packing catering equipment/food/beverages for upcoming events
• Assist in inventory of catering equipment and storage facilities
• Assist in setting up chairs, tables, food stations, buffet lines, and other event equipment, including rentals as requested
• Follow Health & Safety regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid G Drivers License
• Clean drivers abstract/record
• Catering experience preferred
• Customer service experience in interacting with clients and vendors
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to lift 20kg with ease
• Work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Availability for event-based hours, including early mornings and late nights
• Food Handlers and Smart Serve certifications are assets
• Ability to stand or drive for long periods
