Job summary

Swish-Maintenance in Kingston, Ontario is hiring a Driver to safely transport and deliver products and equipment while providing best-in-class customer service. You will handle loading/unloading, maintain records, and operate delivery and warehouse equipment in compliance with safety standards.

The role requires a Class DZ license, a clean driver abstract, and the ability to pass a security clearance for certain customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Class DZ Driver’s License required.
• Acceptable Driver Abstract required.
• Ability to pass a security clearance for certain customers.
• Forklift license is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate a delivery truck and complete daily routes to multiple customer locations, loading and unloading orders.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain positive customer relationships.
• Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of products and orders.
• Maintain cleanliness of the delivery truck.
• Perform daily safety checks and complete required logs.
• Safely operate lift trucks and order-picking equipment.
• Coordinate deliveries with warehouse and sales staff to resolve issues.
• Report incidents and accidents promptly.
• Communicate delays due to weather, traffic, or breakdowns.

About the Role:

The Driver is responsible for safely transporting and delivering products and equipment to customers while providing best-in-class customer service. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy in order fulfillment, and the ability to operate delivery and warehouse equipment efficiently. The successful candidate will maintain compliance with transportation policies and safety standards, communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a delivery truck and complete daily delivery routes to multiple customer locations, including loading and unloading orders.
• Represent the company professionally by delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of all products and orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain cleanliness of the delivery truck.
• Conduct daily circle checks and complete all required logs in compliance with company transportation policies and procedures.
• Safely operate lift trucks, power walkies, pump trucks, and order-picking equipment.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse and sales staff to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues.
• Maintain an acceptable driver abstract, and promptly report any incidents or accidents.
• Report delays caused by breakdowns, weather, traffic conditions, or other emergencies in a timely manner.

What You Bring:

• High school diploma
• Class DZ Driver’s License required
• Acceptable Driver Abstract
• Ability to pass a security clearance (required to deliver to certain customers)
• Forklift license is an asset

• Shift: Monday to Friday - 8AM to 5PM
• Wage: Starting at $23/hour (based on skills, license, and experience)
• Variable compensation: Annual performance bonus eligibility
• Vacation: Starting at 3 weeks
