Job Description

Under the direction of the General Manager, Drift is seeking a Server Assistant responsible for supporting the service team and ensuring a seamless flow of service and overall cleanliness of the restaurant.

What you will be doing as a Server Assistant:

• Expertly answering questions about food, beverage, wine and other restaurant functions and services;
• Proficiently assisting with food running that plates arrive to the proper guest, using table and seat numbers, without needing to “auction off” dishes;
• Emptying garbage, linen bags and disposing of garbage and recycling;
• Monitoring the cleanliness of sections and ensuring all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter;
• Professionally communicating with servers and hosts to maximize seating;
• Communicating to all servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience;
• Keenly following all food safety standards and systems;
• Such other related duties and responsibilities as may be required from time to time.

The person we are looking for has:

• A valid Serve Right Certification;
• Previous experience in a similar restaurant is considered an asset;
• Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment;
• Organizational skills;
• Ability to take direction and prioritize a variety of tasks at once;
• High level of product knowledge.
