Job summary

Apex Industries in Moncton, NB is seeking a Drafting Technologist to join its Steel Door Manufacturing Group. The role focuses on planning and organizing orders for plant use and producing shop drawings for manufacturing.

You will create custom designs using Autodesk Inventor and related CAD tools, working in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on accuracy and collaboration. This is a full-time, permanent position reporting to the Production Manager.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Manufacturing or drawing design background.
• Background in Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Organize, produce shop drawings and documents for manufacturing use.
• Plan projects to maximize productivity in the shop and to customer delivery requirements.
• Continuously look for ways to improve the detail on drawings for shop use.
• Create custom designs using Autodesk Inventor.
