Job summary

Aecon Group is seeking a Draftsperson for the Bowmanville, ON area to support the SMR project work. You will prepare fabrication drawings and 3D models for steel and concrete structures and coordinate with design partners and field teams.

Ideal candidates bring a Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent, plus 5+ years of drafting/engineering design experience and proficiency in Autodesk tools such as Inventor and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in engineering design/drafting.
• Proficiency in Autodesk suite is required, with Inventor and AutoCAD preferred.
• Fusion 360 and Revit are assets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fabrication drawings, quantity calculations and 3D models for steel and concrete structures.
• Solve as-built condition issues and contribute to project solutions.
• Report on and participate in continuous improvement of key metrics.
• Provide drafting support for tooling, fabrication templates and inspection.
• Communicate clearly with clients in a professional manner.
• Liaise with design partners, trades supervision and project team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
