Aerotek is seeking a Forklift Operator for Mississauga, ON, to work afternoons on a contract-to-hire basis. Operate specialized forklifts, pick orders via voice-directed system, and move goods safely within a busy warehouse.

The role includes a $1.00–$1.50/hour shift premium depending on the shift and a 30-minute paid lunch break. The position requires at least 1 year of forklift experience, a valid Double Walkie Rider license, and the ability to lift 20–50 lbs repeatedly.

Job Title: Forklift Operator - Afternoons

Job Description

As a Forklift Operator, you will operate a Double Long Center Rider and Double End Walkie safely and efficiently to pick orders using a voice-directed picking system. Your role involves accurately selecting and building customer orders, loading, moving, and transporting products throughout the warehouse, performing repetitive physical work throughout the shift, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Double Long Center Rider and Double End Walkie safely and efficiently.
• Pick orders using a voice-directed picking system.
• Accurately select and build customer orders.
• Load, move, and transport products throughout the warehouse.
• Perform repetitive physical work throughout the shift.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1 year of forklift experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Valid double Walkie Rider license from a recognized/preferred forklift training provider.
• Ability to lift 20-50lbs repetitively.
• Clear English communication skills.
• Experience in material handling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous order picking and RF or voice-picking experience is considered an asset.

Work Environment

The facility is conveniently located approximately 500 meters from the nearest public transit stop. Be prepared for a short walk in various weather conditions. The role offers shift options including Afternoon Shift (2:00 PM to 10:00 PM) with a $1.00/hour premium, Night Shift (10:00 PM to 6:00 AM) with a $1.50/hour premium, and a regular Morning Shift from Monday to Friday (6:0 AM to 2:00 PM).

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
