Position: Distribution & Logistics Manager

As a Big Ass Fans Distribution & Logistics Manager, you'll be the driving force behind the seamless flow of goods from point A to point B. Your mission is to coordinate the receiving, storage, transportation, and delivery of products, ensuring meticulous planning and execution.

Leading a team of logistics professionals, you will provide vision, support, and leadership to help them excel. You will oversee operations involving personnel, equipment, suppliers, locations, and facilities. Your strategic and hands-on approach will be key to achieving our goals and driving growth. Responsibilities

1. Measure and report key service level deliverables and performance indicators regularly to meet operational goals, driving improvements in all key metrics.
2. Collaborate with other departments to achieve customer satisfaction as a functional expert and leader.
3. Perform pricing, cost, and service analysis; own carrier management processes including selection, qualification, business reviews, and performance evaluation.
4. Lead yearly logistics cost reduction initiatives.
5. Identify operational and technological factors affecting customer satisfaction and revenue; recommend strategic changes or process improvements.
6. Manage all shipping and receiving from BAF’s Canadian warehouse, including RMAs and inventory counts, to ensure on-time delivery.
7. Interact with senior management on matters related to growth, profitability, and operational efficiencies.
8. Support freight payment processes, resolving issues like rejected bills, rate discrepancies, and aging concerns.
9. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in handling daily challenges, adjusting to multiple demands and shifting priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
10. Promote a work environment that encourages employee involvement and operational excellence.
11. Participate in maintaining a safe and harmonious workplace for all employees.
12. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field.
2. 5-10 years of experience in logistics/transportation management within manufacturing.
3. Minimum of 5 years in inventory, supply chain, transportation, or distribution center operations.
4. Knowledge of storage/racking requirements.
5. Certified forklift operation experience.
6. Ability to manage multiple distribution locations.
7. Experience managing teams with direct reports.
8. Experience managing logistics spend over $10MM annually.
9. Familiarity with trade compliance and import/export laws.
10. Experience in carrier management and negotiations.
11. Proficiency in freight cost analysis and logistics project management.
12. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
13. Strong problem-solving and management skills.
14. Proficiency in ERP, MRP, WMS (Epicor), and familiarity with Salesforce CRM is preferred.
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-Suite.
