Job summary

Trimac is hiring a Dispatcher in Canada to relay the load plan to drivers and customers, ensuring clear safety instructions and compliance with regulations. The role emphasizes timely communication, problem solving, and efficient dispatch operations in a dynamic transportation environment.

The position reports to the Dispatch Manager and requires strong judgment, safety focus, and the ability to handle driver concerns while maintaining service quality across North America.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 2-3 years of related experience and/or training.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using a variety of systems.
• Experience in the transportation industry.
• Post-secondary education is considered an asset.
• Experience in bulk and/or hazardous commodities an asset.
• Experience with TMW is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Communicate the load plan to drivers and customers.
• Ensure drivers have proper instructions to perform duties safely.
• Listen to driver concerns and act on them appropriately.
• Ensure the Company meets all customer requirements and changes are communicated.
• Ensure the dispatch system is up to date.
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency for the Company and customer.
• Audit TMW reports for compliance when applicable.
• Record service failure reports and bring to Branch Manager.
