Job Posting: Dispatch Security Guard – Camera Monitoring & Operations

Position Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $17.60–$18.40/hour (based on experience and certifications)

About the Role

LTS Protective Services is currently hiring a Dispatch Security Guard to join our Operations Centre team. This is a full-time position responsible for overseeing communications, coordinating incident response, monitoring CCTV systems, and providing indirect supervision to frontline security personnel.

As the central communication point for field staff and management, the Dispatch Security Guard must remain calm under pressure, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, and ensure accurate record-keeping in real time.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch security personnel to incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance.
• Monitor incoming radio transmissions, telephone calls, and emails; document all communications accurately in the dispatch log.
• Track and coordinate field operations, dispatching backup support as needed.
• Maintain real-time monitoring of the CCTV camera system; report and document suspicious activity or policy breaches.
• Update and manage lost and found, emergency contact lists, and key control systems.
• Conduct periodic security equipment audits and report deficiencies.
• Relay major incidents to management immediately.
• Provide customer service and communication support to security staff and clients.
• Assist with shift scheduling, availability tracking, and shift coverage coordination.
• Perform other administrative and operational tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License (must be current and on file)
• Minimum 2 years experience in a security or operations-related role in Ontario.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a dispatch, operations, or scheduling role.
• Experience monitoring camera surveillance systems (CCTV)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email systems, and basic scheduling software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service focus and professional demeanor under pressure.
• Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and other relevant security procedures (preferred)
• Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience using security dispatch systems or management portals (e.g., TrackTik, Silvertrac)
• Familiarity with multi-channel communication (radio, phone, text, email)
• Bilingual (asset but not required).
• Demonstrated leadership or indirect supervisory experience.

Compensation Details

• Base Rate: $17.60/hour
• Courses Premium: +$0.80/hour (applied if certifications are valid and current)
• Total Rate: $18.40/hour when fully certified

Uniform Requirements

Dispatch Security Guards are expected to maintain a professional appearance. While on duty, the following uniform is required:

• LTS-issued shirt and epaulettes.
• Black cargo pants and all black CSA-approved footwear.
• Valid ID badge displayed at all times.
