Job summary

The Josie Hotel Rossland in Rossland, BC is seeking a dependable Dishwasher to join the kitchen team for the winter season. You will keep dishware and utensils spotless, assist with daily kitchen cleanliness and support the team to ensure a smooth operation during our luxury ski-in/ski-out resort season.

Competitive hourly wage is offered along with benefits for eligible associates and family, plus seasonal ski pass and employee discounts. Start date is November 15, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of dish room, kitchen aisles and back-of-house areas.
• Monitor dishwasher temperatures and chemicals.
• Break down trays, operate dish machine and sort/store clean items.
• Return cleaned items to assigned areas and empty trash as required.

Here is what you will be doing each day:

As a Dishwasher, you would be responsible to clean, transport and store all china, glassware, cooking equipment / utensils and silverware. Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain the sanitation and cleanliness of all areas of the dish room, kitchen aisles, and back-of-house areas.
• Ensure dishwasher temperatures and chemicals are monitored.
• Use the deep hand-washing system as required.
• Break down trays, set up the dish machine, wash dishware, and sort and store all clean china, glassware, and silverware using proper procedures.
• Return all cleaned and sanitized items to their assigned areas.
• Empty trash cans and wash the inside and outside of each can.
• Thoroughly clean the dock area and dumpster.
• Break down the dish machine and clean the inside and outside.
• Clean tile walls, floors, and baseboards.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
