Job summary

Model Milk is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant setting. Evening availability is essential, and the role offers the chance to work both independently and within a team.

You will help maintain a clean dishwashing station, operate equipment safely, and support kitchen and service staff throughout shifts. Benefit from gratuities and meal perks while building hospitality experience.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to maintain clean, organized dish areas.

• WHMIS certification is required or can be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitary stock of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots and pans, and cooking equipment.
• Sort and load dirty dishware to maximize machine capacity and minimize breakage.
• Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Unload and store dishware in designated areas.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards in the dishwashing area.
• Contribute to meeting department objectives and assist with related duties as needed.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Model Milk is looking for a Dishwasher to fill out their team on a part-time permanent basis. It is essential that you enjoy a fast-paced work environment and feel comfortable working both alone, and/or within a team. Must be available in the evenings.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Ensure a clean and sanitary stock of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots/pans, and cooking equipment is consistently available for kitchen and food service.
• Sort, stack, and load dirty dishware into dish racks in an organized manner to maximize machine capacity and reduce breakage.
• Operate dishwashing equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
• Unload dishware, distributing and storing in designated storage areas.
• Maintain ongoing communication with all departments affecting the kitchen.
• Ensure the highest level of hygiene and food safety is adhered to according to the restaurant’s standards.
• Ensure that the dishwashing area and equipment is always maintained at the highest level of cleanliness.
• Consistently conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner.
• Aid in maintaining department objectives and ensure they are met and exceeded.
• Perform other related ad-hoc duties as required.

WHAT YOU HAVE

• Strong organizational and time management skills required.
• Strong English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with team members, partners, and customers.
• WHMIS Certification is required but can be obtained once hired.
