Job summary

Delta Hotels by Marriott London Armouries in London, Ontario is seeking a diligent dishwasher to support our busy hotel's kitchen team. You will wash, sanitize, store dishes and utensils, and help with basic cleaning tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work evenings and weekends as needed. Training provided, teamwork emphasized, and compliance with safety standards a must.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is an asset but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Ensure all kitchen items are cleaned and stored in their designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, including storage and preparation areas.
• Remove garbage, recycling, and compost and transport it to designated disposal areas.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as required.
• Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning products and notify supervisors when inventory is low.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures.
• Support kitchen staff with basic cleaning and preparation tasks as assigned.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management immediately.
• Assist with banquet and event breakdowns, ensuring all service ware is promptly cleaned and returned to inventory.
