Job summary

Newrest is seeking a Team Leader in Canada to oversee dishwashing, equipment packing, and GALLEY operations at airport facilities. You will manage a frontline team, enforce PPE and hygiene standards, and coordinate packing and dispatch to support flight schedules.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment, strong organizational skills, and a focus on HACCP and quality control. Candidates already in Canada with work eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education or experience in the food industry.
• Experience in dishwashing or equipment packing is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and train the dishwashing and equipment packing team, manage shifts and breaks.
• Ensure PPE adherence and safety procedures across all tasks.
• Drive daily output to match flight departure schedules (On-Time Performance).
• Oversee the continuous operation of industrial dishwashers and verify hygiene standards.
• Oversee equipment packing and GALLEY/LO specifications for each airline client.
• Maintain HACCP compliance and complete traceability logs and audits.

Your Main Missions Will Be

Team Leadership & Shift Management

• Lead, coordinate, and train the dishwashing and equipment packing team (managing shift schedules, task allocation, and breaks).
• Ensure strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines and safety procedures.
• Drive daily output performance to match flight departure schedules (On-Time Performance).

Dishwashing & Sanitization Operations

• Oversee the continuous operation of industrial flight-type dishwashers.
• Inspect clean equipment (trolleys, meal trays, chinaware, glassware) to guarantee standard hygiene and quality levels.
• Perform first-level maintenance troubleshooting on washing equipment and upscale technical issues to the maintenance department.

Equipment Packing

• Oversee the sorting, inventory management, and storage of equipment specific to each airline client.
• Supervise the assembly and packing of equipment (trolley setups, drawer packing, cutlery kits) according to airline-specific gallery plans (GALLEY / LO specifications).
• Ensure seamless delivery of clean, packed equipment to the meal assembly (Tray Set) and dispatch teams.

Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (HACCP)

• Enforce strict compliance with HACCP rules, food safety, and airport security standards.
• Complete traceability logs, including wash/rinse temperature checks and hygiene control audits.
• Maintain clear segregation between soiled (dirty) and clean operational zones at all times.
