Vancouver Police Department in Vancouver is seeking a WorkSafe Claims Management Consultant to oversee disability claim management for employees with work-related injuries and illnesses, ensuring effective administration of WorkSafeBC claims and timely return-to-work outcomes.

You will coordinate with employees, supervisors, health care providers, union representatives, legal counsel, and insurance providers; maintain confidential records in Parklane; prepare Certificates of Earnings; and

Formación

• Minimum three years in an administrative role.
• Minimum one year handling Workers’ Compensation claims.
• Experience interpreting collective agreement language related to sickness and disability leave.

Responsabilidades

• Provides disability claim management consultation as liaison among employees, supervisors, managers, union reps, and WorkSafe BC to ensure successful return to work.
• Oversees administration of Form 7, claim documentation, and required correspondence.
• Maintains accurate disability claim records in Parklane and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Coordinates and facilitates return-to-work plans with stakeholders.
• Reviews claims, decisions, and medical information for discrepancies or adjudication concerns.
• Facilitates workplace site visits to aid claim management and RTW planning.
• Gives guidance on disability management practices and WorkSafeBC processes.
• Gathers and presents information to educate employees and leaders on disability management.
• Communicates with employees, supervisors, legal counsel, insurers, and external agencies for case resolution.
• Prepares payroll/attendance data and Certificates of Earnings for claims resolution.
• Maintains attendance and disability management systems with confidentiality.
• Generates absence and attendance reports as required.
• Participates in annual high-stress debrief program.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
