Job summary

NIQ is seeking a Director, Software Engineering to lead the engineering teams building and operating customer-facing SaaS capabilities from our India hub.

The role is a people leadership position responsible for delivery, architecture, and technical health of a significant portion of the product portfolio, collaborating with Product, Architecture, Data, and Security teams to raise the engineering bar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related field
• 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience
• 4+ years of formal people leadership
• Experience delivering enterprise SaaS products
• Experience with AI-enabled product development

Responsibilities

• Own engineering delivery outcomes for a defined set of customer-facing SaaS product capabilities.
• Translate product roadmaps into executable engineering plans and milestones.
• Lead Engineering Managers, Senior Managers and Principal Engineers to deliver results.
• Drive modernization, reduce technical debt, and improve production quality.
• Establish guardrails for AI usage and ensure security and compliance.
