Your New Role

As a Senior Retail Store Designer, you will:

  • Lead the development of innovative and functional retail store designs that enhance the customer shopping experience and reflect the brand's identity.
  • Create detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation for retail spaces, considering design intent, site considerations, and operational requirements.
  • Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies to inform design decisions and project planning, ensuring designs comply with applicable building codes and accessibility standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and project managers, to integrate creative and technical aspects seamlessly.
  • Adapt design elements to align with site conditions, ensuring the original design intent, functionality, and project objectives are maintained.
  • Monitor the implementation of store designs, providing guidance and support to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and standards within the team.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

To thrive as a Director of Retail Design, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in retail store design and construction, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong creative and technical skills, with the ability to translate brand identity into functional and aesthetically pleasing retail spaces.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business.
