Reimer Associates Inc. is seeking a Director of Operations to lead a growing, multi-modal logistics operation spanning over-the-road, ocean, air, and rail.

The role requires a senior operations leader who combines strategic vision with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment. You will provide day-to-day leadership across all transportation modes, build scalable processes, mentor a high-performing team, and drive margin improvement through cost discipline and vendor negotiations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation and logistics operations.
• Senior leadership experience managing teams and multi-modal operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational leadership across all modes of transportation, ensuring service delivery and efficiency.
• Build scalable processes, systems, and KPIs to support growth and excellence.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team with accountability and service focus.
• Drive margin improvement through disciplined cost control, pricing alignment, and vendor negotiations.
• Strengthen relationships with key carriers, partners, and vendors across modes.
• Collaborate with sales and leadership to support customer growth, onboarding, and retention.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks while ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
• Champion continuous improvement across processes, technology usage, and team performance.
