Job summary

IS2 Workforce Solutions in Markham, Ontario seeks a Director of Operations to lead manufacturing and wholesale operations, aligning production with plan execution and strategic growth. You will drive efficiency, quality, on-time delivery and continuous improvement across the business.

The role requires senior leadership experience in manufacturing and a strong grasp of production planning, supply chain, inventory and fulfillment, with a preference for garment/apparel manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in manufacturing and operations.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, supply chain, inventory and fulfillment.
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and continuous improvement initiatives is an asset.
• Garment/apparel manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing and operational activities.
• Oversee production planning, scheduling, capacity and workflow.
• Ensure labour, materials, equipment and resources are aligned with production needs.
• Drive efficiency, cost control, quality and continuous improvement.
• Monitor key operational metrics including production output, labour efficiency, inventory, quality, costs and on-time delivery.
• Oversee warehouse, inventory, shipping, receiving and order fulfillment.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity and service levels.
• Lead, coach and develop production, warehouse and operations teams.
• Build a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, safety and continuous improvement.
• Support teams in achieving operational and business objectives.
• Support ERP/MES implementation and systems optimization.
• Standardize processes and improve operational workflows.
• Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, growth and operational planning.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and operational requirements.

We’re looking for a Director of Operations to lead manufacturing and wholesale operations, driving efficiency, quality, on-time delivery and continuous improvement across the business.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who can balance day-to-day operational execution with long-term planning and growth while leading teams and improving the systems and processes that keep the business moving.

What You’ll Be Doing

Operations & Production

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing and operational activities
