Qualifications

Position Summary

The Director of Leadership & Team Development plays a key role in advancing e4c’s leadership and organizational development priorities, partnering closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and directors across the organization. Through coaching, mentoring, and facilitation, the role equips leaders with the tools, practices, and confidence to build high-performing, resilient teams that reflect e4c’s values and mission.

The role supports a culture of accountability, continuous learning, collaboration, and development by strengthening leadership practices and fostering organizational capacity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership coaching and mentoring to senior leaders to strengthen communication, supervision, delegation, conflict resolution, and accountability practices.
  • Develop and implement leadership development initiatives, including training, workshops, peer learning, and other opportunities that build leadership capability.
  • Develop and maintain a leadership competency framework and practical tools that support effective supervision, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Partner with leaders to assess team strengths, identify development needs, and implement strategies that strengthen collaboration, trust, adaptability, and resilience.
  • Facilitate team development and organizational learning sessions that promote effective collaboration, equity, inclusion, and psychologically safe and supportive work environments.
  • Support leaders in developing and implementing team action plans with clear expectations, measurable outcomes, and mechanisms for accountability and follow-through.
  • Monitor and evaluate leadership development initiatives and team outcomes, using feedback, reflection, and other measures to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Identify systemic leadership and team effectiveness challenges and recommend sustainable strategies aligned with e4c's values, mission, and trauma-informed practices.
  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, collaborating with directors, HR, Learning & Development, and program leaders to align leadership practices with organizational priorities.
  • Promote consistent leadership and management practices across the organization while supporting evolving leadership and team development priorities as required.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Leadership, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Graduate degree (Master's or higher) in a related field is considered an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Certification

  • Executive Coaching certification (e.g., International Coaching Federation [ICF] or equivalent) is considered an asset.
  • Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci or equivalent) is considered an asset.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is considered an asset.
  • Certification or training in Conflict Resolution or Mediation is considered an asset.

Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in leadership development, executive coaching, organizational development, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, delivering, and evaluating leadership development programs, with broad knowledge of organizational planning, leadership development, and organizational change practices.
  • Strong experience facilitating and communicating with executives, leadership teams, and diverse stakeholders, with a proven ability to build relationships, consensus, and collaboration.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects, manage multiple priorities, and deliver measurable results within tight timelines and a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience providing strategic leadership and organizational advice, with the ability to communicate organizational direction and priorities to staff, the Board, and external partners.
  • Proficiency with HRMS, Microsoft Office, database applications, and other technology tools, with strong organizational and attention‑to‑detail skills.
  • Experience working in nonprofit, housing, social services, or human services organizations, and/or experience supporting vulnerable populations, is considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive Salary:$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 (based on experience)
