Job summary

PavCo is seeking a Director of Event Conversions & Logistics to lead multiple teams responsible for transforming our venue and ensuring operational excellence before, during, and after events. You will report to the Assistant General Manager and drive improvements across people, processes, and technology.

This leadership role requires a track record of managing large-scale venue operations, coordinating with stakeholders, and delivering safe, efficient event delivery while maintaining high guest

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in event conversions, venue operations, logistics, or related fields.
• 5+ years of leadership within a large, complex venue or operational environment.
• Proven ability to lead multiple teams, contractors, and service providers.
• Experience planning and executing large-scale event conversions and venue operations.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction, operating model, and service standards for Event Conversions & Logistics.
• Lead, coach, and develop senior managers and operations staff.
• Establish accountability, performance expectations, and processes across the department.
• Provide oversight for building conversions, move-ins/move-outs, venue set-ups, and loading dock operations.
• Ensure plans align with event requirements, safety standards, and timelines.
• Develop operational strategies to prepare, convert, and reset efficiently and safely.
• Maintain workforce, equipment, infrastructure, and resources for event delivery.
• Coordinate requirements with Engineering, Events, Capital Projects, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee Environmental Services strategies to support venue readiness and guest experience.
• Develop budgets, labour forecasts, procurement strategies, and contractor relationships.
• Establish KPIs and reporting to measure efficiency, service levels, and conversion performance.
• Champion continuous improvement through process redesign and technology adoption.
• Lead organizational change to enhance efficiency and resource optimization.
• Serve as senior liaison for clients, partners, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
