Job summary

BC Place Stadium in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Manager, Event Conversions & Logistics to lead planning and execution of building conversions, ensuring the venue is event-ready, safe, and prepared for every guest, client, and partner.

The role oversees full-time and unionized staff, translating strategic priorities into practical plans while coordinating with Events, Engineering & Maintenance, Environmental Services, Security, and Guest Experience to deliver on time and to standard.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Operations Management, Logistics, Facilities Management, Event Management, Trades, or a related discipline.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
• Training or certification in workplace safety, incident command, event operations, facilities operations, logistics, or project management is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Conversions team, including workforce planning, scheduling, training, performance management, and employee engagement.
• Provide leadership and direction to the Manager, Event Conversions & Logistics.
• Own the planning and execution of building conversions, including move-ins, move-outs, event set-ups, equipment movement, and venue infrastructure requirements.
• Develop staffing plans, timelines, priorities, and resource requirements based on event schedules and operational needs.
• Ensure conversion plans are practical, achievable, and aligned with client expectations, safety requirements, and operational commitments.
• Coordinate equipment movement, storage requirements, loading dock operations, deliveries, and temporary infrastructure needs.
• Monitor conversion progress, proactively address issues, and adjust plans as required to meet deadlines and operational requirements.
• Lead post-event and post-conversion reviews, identifying lessons learned and opportunities to improve efficiency, workforce utilization, and operational effectiveness.
