Job summary

St. Joseph’s Hospice of London is seeking a Director of Community Engagement & Development to lead fundraising strategies, donor cultivation, and communications for a $1.6 million revenue focus.

You will manage a four-person team and partner with the Executive Director to advance hospice fundraising and community programs. The role requires a minimum of 7 years in fundraising, with leadership experience, and a university degree.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional fundraising experience at major gifts level.
• At least 3 years of leading a fundraising team.
• Graduation from an accredited university.
• Proven ability to design and manage development programs.
• Strong donor relations with volunteers, staff and Board.

Responsibilities

• Lead fundraising activities with annual revenue goal and major gifts.
• Oversee donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship programs.
• Develop planned giving and in memoriam initiatives.
• Manage development reports and governance to the Board.
• Collaborate on communications, events and donor engagement strategies.
