Job summary

Birks, Canada's premier luxury jeweler, seeks a Director of Retail Stores for the Greater Toronto Area to lead two banners across the GTA. The role focuses on driving sales growth, profitability, and operational excellence while aligning with brand standards and customer experience expectations.

You will mentor Store Directors, shape regional strategies, and partner with cross-functional teams to enhance performance and talent development.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience managing two banners is a strong asset.
• Luxury and Prestige experience is a strong asset.
• Bachelor Degree in relevant area.
• Excellent communication skills to present at Senior Level and motivate teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive regional sales, profitability, and KPIs across the GTA banners.
• Develop, monitor, and manage regional sales and expense plans to meet targets.
• Contribute to short-, mid-, and long-term growth strategies for regional expansion.
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to implement policies and improve customer experience.
• Analyze sales trends and market conditions to identify opportunities and risks.
• Lead business reviews and communicate region performance to senior leadership.
• Identify regional market needs and collaborate with Retail, Merchandising, Marketing, and other partners.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, standards, and loss prevention practices.
• Communicate corporate programs and promotional activities across the region.
• Set annual and monthly performance objectives for stores and leaders; implement action plans.
• Coach, develop, and support Store Directors and management teams.
