About The Position

• We are searching for a permanent Director, Emerging & Mid-Market Accounts to join our Group Business team.
• PBCs compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and teamperformance. Thetypical hiring range for this position is $160,000 - $190,000 per year; the base pay offered is based on market and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. The starting salary will be determined based on a combination of skills, education, and experience.
• In addition to base compensation, there is a variable pay component tied to sales targets, renewal targets, and the level of revenue retention across overall block of business as defined each year.

The Director, Emerging & Mid-Market Accounts leads a team of Account Executives and Account Managers and ensures workforce planning meets departmental requirements.

This Role Leads Departmental Strategy By

• Directing and monitoring team activities and projects
• Setting, adjusting, and achieving key performance indicators
• Removing barriers and providing resources for the team
• Maximizing resources and delivering on department targets

The Director develops strategic and tactical plans that align with company strategy and directs the execution of department activities. This includes defining the annual commission plans for direct reports to deliver on sales, retention, and profitability goals.

The Director collaborates with other leaders to prioritize projects, mitigate risks, and influence major decisions affecting company strategy, and delivers reports, briefings, and presentations to stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities

• Driving revenue and relationship development across key distribution channels and direct relationships with plan sponsors and emerging and mid-sized clients
• Evaluating lead generation, sales funnels, and closed sales against defined targets
• Managing the flow of existing and new business to ensure a best-in-class stakeholder experience
• Owning annual department targets and financial results, and the effective use of resources
• Providing strategic leadership across the project management cycle so the team delivers on time
• Researching and recommending solutions, and providing guidance to stakeholders

Key Experiences You Bring To This Role

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a major in Business, Economics, Marketing, or an equivalent field including or supplemented by courses in leadership/supervision.
• Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) certification, or equivalent.
• 10 - 12 years of related experience in sales, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in progressively senior leadership positions.
