We are seeking a visionary Director, Investment Markets to partner directly with the President, Capital Markets and other Executives with execution and scaling of Lankin Investments’ Wealth Management Division.

The Director, Capital Markets is a strategic thinker with a highly effective and proven sales capability, will lead Lankin Investments Wealth Management Division’s sales strategy and overall capital raising program. Leveraging retail channels, through digital marketing, in-person events, webinars and robust referral networks, the Director will be tasked with leading and being part of a highly effective sales team focused on raising investor capital for Lankin Investments’ real estate funds and other alternative investment products.

The successful candidate is a natural sales person with extremely strong relationship management pedigree. This individual will be a part of the Lankin Investment’s Wealth Management Division developing and managing investor relationships for long term wealth preservation and portfolio growth. This individual will have a proven track record of capital raising through retail channels, with deep relationships across high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capital Raise: Sourcing, engaging, and closing capital from investors
  • Network Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with HNW/UHNW individuals stemming from our marketing channel
  • Investment Process: Optimize and own the Wealth Management Division’s robust sales funnel.
  • Business Building: Scale the business for significant growth over the next 12 – 18 months and beyond
  • Team Building: Coach and lead the performance of a highly effective sales team including the creation of repeatable processes and training of winning sales strategies.
  • Referral Networks: Working with investors, building our referral networks and earning referrals from existing investor relationships.
  • Presentations & Roadshows: Deliver compelling presentations and attend investor roadshows and networking events, being the face of Lankin Investments Wealth Management Division and capturing net new capital sources.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the firm’s leadership, marketing and investment teams to align sales strategies with marketing initiatives and strategic objectives.
  • Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of industry trends, investor preferences, and competitor activities to effectively position investment products within the market.

Leading Qualifications:

  • Canadian Investment background is a must.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in capital markets/investment distribution sales, with a focus on real estate funds or related private market investments.
  • Proven track record of capital raising success and building strong referral networks.
  • A proven sales leader with a track record of scaling highly effective sales teams
  • Extremely strong presentation skills, with experience delivering high-impact presentations to retail investors.
  • Exceptional communication and sales negotiation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of the real estate market is strongly preferred.
