Managing Director, Credit, Capital Markets

Position Overview: We are seeking a Managing Director to be a senior member of the North American Private Credit business, responsible for strategy, origination, structuring, underwriting, and leading corporate credit investments across the capital structure. The role involves building and managing a broader credit portfolio and providing leadership to the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive North American credit investment activity
  • Evaluate investment opportunities for value and risk-adjusted returns
  • Oversee idea generation, due diligence, legal negotiations, credit underwriting, and portfolio management
  • Develop strategic direction for the private credit business in North America
  • Build relationships with banks, sponsors, and advisors for origination
  • Collaborate across departments to achieve superior risk-adjusted returns
  • Lead and manage the private credit team of 7 professionals
Qualifications:
  • 12+ years in fundamental credit investing
  • Proven risk management skills
  • Experience in credit strategies and portfolio management
  • Deep understanding of credit markets
  • Knowledge of originating and structuring credit investments
  • Degree in Finance or related field
  • Experience managing junior staff
