About This Opportunity

As the Director, Brand & Marketing, you will champion brand strategy to elevate the profile of the GGC legacy brand in Canada. Oversee marketing management, social media, and creative solutions, building a high-performing Brand & Marketing function to support accelerated growth to serve more girls and youth.

Responsibilities Include

Brand Strategy

  • Establishes and leads the Brand and Marketing function, providing strategic advice and hands-on management of the brand proposition.
  • Develops and champions a compelling brand strategy, partnering with stakeholders to elevate the GGC legacy brand in Canada through storytelling.
  • Implements brand management to ensure consistent voice and experience across all touchpoints.

Marketing Management

  • Spearheads partnerships to deliver effective marketing strategies across audiences and channels.
  • Leads marketing campaigns, planning, execution, deployment, and evaluation.

Social Media & Digital Communities

  • Oversees social media strategy to drive engagement and impact.
  • Ensures effective digital marketing practices, including SEO, retargeting, and analytics.

Creative Solutions

  • Oversees creative content and visual materials for campaigns.
  • Leads a visual creative solutions team, ensuring brand consistency.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Nurtures relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Oversees market research and collaborates with data teams to inform strategies.
  • Ensures alignment with GGC's DEIA principles.
  • Builds and manages the Brand & Marketing team fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Manages external agency relationships and operational planning, budget, and performance measurement.

Candidate Profile

Education, Designations, and Certifications : Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related; advanced degree preferred. Extensive marketing experience may suffice.

Prior Work Experience : 7-10 years in marketing and brand management, with experience in storytelling, campaigns, and multi-channel strategies. Experience with legacy brands, cause marketing, youth development, or not-for-profit sectors is desirable. Proven leadership and advising experience required.

Competencies : Excellent communication, storytelling, analytical, decision-making, and leadership skills. Familiarity with digital tools, CRM, and marketing analytics is preferred.

Hiring Range : $103,400 - $122,000 annually
