Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation in Canada is hiring for a unit head in automotive route estimation. This hybrid role leads a growing team of estimators and technicians, ensuring adherence to policies and industry standards.

You will mentor staff, manage subrogation workflows, and drive quality across the estimation process while supporting collaboration with internal experts and external partners. Familiarity with insurance and repair processes is essential.

Qualifications

• College diploma or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of management experience.
• Experience with the estimation process and estimation software.
• Member of GAA is a plus.
• Experience in insurance and vehicle repair industries.
• Demonstrated leadership and analytical skills.
• Strong change management and project management abilities.
• Ability to engage and mobilize a team.
• Ability to build trust-based relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate activities to meet quality and conforming standards for repairs by suppliers.
• Act as a resource to internal and external estimators and Intact resources for questions.
• Provide training and technical support to staff on software and techniques.
• Collaborate with experts to verify subrogation files and provide recommendations.
• Quality-check estimator and body shop estimates for policy compliance.
• Contribute to sector efficiency through analysis and recommendations.
• Organize and control team resources within budget while promoting teamwork.
• Manage employee performance with clear expectations and ongoing feedback.
• Support networks on estimates-related complaints with confidence.
• Participate in committees and stay current with industry techniques.

Salary range (but not limited to):

87,200 - 106,600

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. Ce que vous accomplirez chez nous :

• Diriger et coordonner les activités afin d'atteindre les objectifs dequalité et deconformité des réparations effectuées par les fournisseurs, dans le respect des politiques et dans l'application des normes et procédures d'Intact.
• Agir à titre de personne-ressource en fournissant un soutien aux estimateurs internes et externes, ainsi qu'aux différentes ressources d'Intact, pour répondre à leurs questions.
• Assurer la formation et le soutien technique de ses employés en se tenant à jour continuellement sur les logiciels et les techniques utilisés.
• En collaboration avec les experts, vérifier les dossiers de subrogation des autres assureurs et apporter les recommandations appropriées.
• Faire les contrôles de la qualité des estimations produites par l'ensemble des estimateurs internes et carrossiers en s'assurant du respect des politiques et de l'application des normes et procédures, y compris celles concernant le service à la clientèle.
• Accroître l'efficacité de son secteur en participant à l'élaboration d'analyses et de recommandations.
• Gérer les activités de son équipe en organisant, planifiant et contrôlant l'utilisation optimale des ressources humaines, financières et matérielles selon le budget, tout en favorisant le travail d'équipe.
• Assurer la gestion de la performance des employés de l’équipe, notamment en établissant des attentes claires, en assurant un suivi régulier et en fournissant une rétroaction continue.
• Soutenir les équipes de nos réseaux confiance pour les plaintes relatives aux estimations.
• Participer à différents comités existants dans le domaine de l'estimation et être au fait des techniques de l'industrie.

Ce que vous mettrez à profit :

• Diplôme d'étude collégiale ou combinaison équivalente de formation et d’expérience
• 3 à 5 années d'expérience en gestion, un atout
• Connaissances du processus d'estimationet des logiciels d'estimation, un atout
• Être membre du Groupement des assureurs automobiles (GAA), un atout
• Expérience dans le domaine de l’assurance et connaissance des principes de réparation des véhicules
• Vivre et démontrer les facteurs de succès en leadership au sein d’Intact
• Bon esprit d’analyse, de synthèse et de décision
• Habileté de gestion de projets et de gestion duchangement
• Habileté à susciter l’engagement et la mobilisation de son équipe
