Job summary

Intact Financial Corporation is seeking a Unit Head, Home Claims for our growing team in Laval. The role offers a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office and leadership over a team of home claims experts to ensure quality processing and adherence to standards.

The candidate will drive efficiency, manage resources within budget, and advance process improvements while promoting our brand with partners and guiding staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent training/experience.
• Experience of at least 3 years as a claims expert (home experience is a plus).
• Experience managing a team of claims experts.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to corporate and regional objectives by measuring team performance, ensuring quality of claims handling, and adherence to standards, procedures and productivity.
• Manage the team’s activities by organizing, planning and controlling optimal use of human, financial and material resources per budget, fostering teamwork and guiding technical training.
• Participate in improving operational processes.
• Make decisions for the team regarding claims handling and indemnity payments in line with company standards.
• Promote brand image and business principles with partners.
• Conduct audits of active files throughout the year.

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc.

The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

Salary range (but not limited to): 101,800 - 124,400

Ce que vous accomplirez chez nous :

• Contribuer à la réalisation des objectifs corporatifs et régionaux en mesurant la performance de son équipe, en assurant la qualité du traitement des sinistres, le niveau de respect des normes, des procédures et de la productivité.
• Gérer les activités de son équipe en organisant, planifiant et contrôlant l'utilisation optimale des ressources humaines, financières et matérielles selon le budget, tout en favorisant le travail d'équipe et en orientant leur formation sur le plan technique.
• Participer à l'amélioration des processus opérationnels.
• Prendre les décisions pour son équipe concernant le traitement des dossiers sinistres et le paiement des indemnités en conformité avec les normes de l'entreprise.
• Promouvoir l'image de marque et les principes d'affaires auprès des partenaires.
• Procéder à des auditions de dossiers actifs tout au long de l’année.

Ce que vous mettrez à profit :

• Baccalauréat en administration des affaires ou combinaison équivalente de formation et d’expérience
• Expérience d'au moins 3 ans à titre d'expert en sinistres (expérience habitation un atout)
• Expérience de gestion d’équipe d'experts en sinistres
• Détenir un certificat d'expert en sinistres
• Connaissances pointues de l'assurance des particuliers et des entreprises ainsi que de la responsabilité civile.
• Aptitudes et connaissances optimales des systèmes informatiques
• Se soucier des gens
