Job summary

Karis Disability Services seeks a Direct Support Professional to provide 35 hours per week of support in our Muskoka area, with flexible 10-hour shifts. You will help residents live independently and participate in community activities, guided by each person’s goals and rights.

A Full G license and personal insurance are required, and alternate weekends are included. Competitive wages reflect experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications listed in the posting include applicable DSW or CYW credentials.
• Post-secondary education in a related field is also preferred.

Rate of Pay: 25.18 - 29.46

Direct Support Professional (DSP) employees work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community. Direct Support Professionals recognize people's rights to direct their life, understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs, and they support people to learn skills for their own growth and development.
