Job summary

Qualcomm Canada ULC offers an Interim Engineering Intern - HW position in Toronto. You will review specs, write test cases in SystemVerilog/UVM, and debug verification issues on real semiconductor designs.

You’ll be mentored by engineers, gain hands-on experience with AI-enabled tools, and participate in professional development workshops. The 16-month internship runs May/June 2027 to Aug/Sep 2028 with a housing stipend and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, or related field.
• For 16-month internships: May/June 2027 - August/September 2028.
• 1+ years of academic experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, etc.

Responsibilities

• Review design specifications and develop test cases using SystemVerilog and UVM.
• Debug simulation failures and collaborate with teams to uncover bugs.
• Build and automate flows to improve verification infrastructure.
• Employ AI-enabled tools and infrastructure to accelerate development.
• Take ownership of meaningful projects from start to finish.
• Collaborate cross-domain with Systems, Analog, Physical Design, SoC, Firmware/Software, and Project Management.
