Job summary

Golden Life is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide for Kootenay Street Village in Cranbrook, BC. This part-time role (0.40 FTE) offers evenings with a 4:00 pm–8:30 pm shift, and a competitive hourly wage of $25.82.

Join a values-driven team delivering warm, respectful care to residents. You will handle dining room service, food prep support, and basic clerical tasks, while upholding safety standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Reads and writes English
• Has taken Food Safe or other required courses
• Must be self-motivated

Responsibilities

• Counts, weighs and/or measures ingredients for assigned food preparation areas.
• Portions out and serves food and beverages in the dining room, gathers and replaces supplies as required.
• Set up, serve, and restock dining areas.
• Deliver food carts and stock neighborhood kitchenettes.
• Assist with basic food prep and special event service.
• Operate dishwashing and kitchen equipment safely.
• Maintain cleanliness in dining and kitchen spaces.
• Must be physically capable to perform all the required tasks as outlined in the job description.
• Ensures that the Golden Life Management POLICIES AND PROCEDURES are practiced.
• Must be accountable for all actions taken while employed by Golden Life Management.
• Has taken Food Safe or other required courses.
• Complete light clerical tasks as needed.
• Performother related duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• Completion of Grade 10 or higher.
• A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• A negative TB test and up-to-date immunization record.
