Job summary

Golden Life is hiring a Dietary Aide for Kootenay Street Village in Cranbrook, BC. This casual, on-call role supports dining services, assisting with food prep, serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness in dining and kitchen areas during evening shifts (4:00 pm – 8:30 pm).

Applicants should have Grade 10+, a clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening, a negative TB test, and up-to-date immunizations. Reading and writing in English is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 or higher.
• A clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• A negative TB test and up-to-date immunization record.

Responsibilities

• Counts, weighs and/or measures ingredients for assigned food preparation areas.
• Portions out and serves food and beverages in the dining room, gathers and replaces supplies as required.
• Set up, serve, and restock dining areas.
• Deliver food carts and stock neighborhood kitchenettes.
• Assist with basic food prep and special event service.
• Operate dishwashing and kitchen equipment safely.
• Maintain cleanliness in dining and kitchen spaces.
• Must be physically capable to perform all the required tasks as outlined in the job description.
• Ensures that the Golden Life Management POLICIES AND PROCEDURES are practiced.
• Must be accountable for all actions taken while employed by Golden Life Management.
• Able to read and write English.
• Has taken Food Safe or other required courses.
• Must have ability to be self-motivated.
• Complete light clerical tasks as needed.
• Performother related duties as assigned.
