Job summary

Blood Tribe Department of Health Inc. is seeking a Casual Dietary Aide for the Continuing Care Centre. You will serve meals according to individualized dietary requirements, assist with meal preparation, and maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen environment.

You will also set up and clear dining tables before and after each meal. The role requires 1-3 years of dietary aide experience in healthcare or related settings, a Grade 12 Diploma or culinary training, mandatory food

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-3 years in dietary aide roles in healthcare or related settings.
• Education: Grade 12 or culinary training.
• Certification: Food safety handling mandatory; CPR, First Aid, WHMIS.
• Understanding of Blackfoot culture and language.

SUMMARY OF WORK:

The Dietary Aide is responsible for serving meals according to individualized dietary requirements, assisting with meal preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen environment. Setting up and clearing the dining tables before and after each meal.

PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL QUALITIES:

• Experience: 1 -3 years of dietary aide experience in a healthcare facility (Hospital, retirement home, long-term care setting), restaurant, or day care.
• Education: Minimum Grade 12 Diploma and/or Graduate of recognized Culinary Skills program.
• Certification:
  Food safety Handling is Mandatory
  Maintain CPR, First Aid, WHIMIS
• Understanding of the Blackfoot Culture and Language

SALARY RANGE:

• In accordance with Blood Tribe Department of Health Inc. salary grid.
