Job summary

Blood Tribe Department of Health Inc. in Stand-off, AB is seeking a Casual Dietary Aide for Continuing Care Centre operations. You will serve meals per dietary requirements, assist with meal prep, and ensure clean, sanitary kitchen and dining areas.

This role requires 1–3 years in healthcare dining and completion of Grade 12 or culinary training. Applicants must hold Food Safety Handling certification and maintain CPR/First Aid/WHMIS.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years dietary aide experience in healthcare settings.
• Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or Graduate of recognized Culinary Skills program.
• Food Safety Handling certification is mandatory.
• CPR, First Aid, and WHMIS must be maintained.
• Understanding of Blackfoot Culture and Language.

SUMMARY OF WORK:
The Dietary Aide is responsible for serving meals according to individualized dietary requirements, assisting with meal preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen environment. Setting up and clearing the dining tables before and after each meal.

PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL QUALITIES:

• Experience: 1 – 3 years of dietary aide experience in a healthcare facility (hospital, retirement home, or long-term care setting), restaurant, or day care.
• Education: Minimum Grade 12 Diploma and/or Graduate of recognized Culinary Skills program.
• Certification:
  • Food Safety Handing is Mandatory
  • Maintain CPR, First aid, WHIMS
• Understanding of the Blackfoot Culture and Language
  

SALARY RANGE:

• In accordance with the Blood Tribe Department of Health Inc. Salary Grid.
