Job summary

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide in Goderich, Ontario. The role supports the setup, preparation, serving and cleaning for all meal services in the Home, under the supervision of the Food Service Manager.

Hourly wage is CAD 22.91, with shifts from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. The position emphasizes safe food handling, basic food prep, and maintaining a clean dining and kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled or completed College Level Food Service Worker Program.
• Must possess current Safe Food Handling Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist cooks in food preparation and meal service.
• Ensure safe food handling and proper storage/labeling.
• Serve meals according to Resident diet orders.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining area.

Food Service Manager

The Dietary Aide provides support to the setup, preparation, serving and cleaning associated with all meal services in the Home.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring food is handled in a safe manner, including proper storage and labeling
• Assisting cooks in basic food preparation
• Executing proper food service in relation to internal and external guidelines and protocols
• Serving meals according to Resident diet orders
• Washing, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and dining room

Knowledge And Skills Required

• Mandatory enrollment or completion of a College Level Food Service Worker Program, meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act
• Possess a current Safe Food Handling Certificate
