Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide to support meal service operations at our Ontario home. The role reports to the Food Service Manager and involves setup, serving, and cleanup for meals with strict adherence to dietary orders and safety guidelines.

Hours are 6am-2pm and 2:45pm-8pm, with wage of $22.30 per hour. We seek caring individuals with strong communication and teamwork skills to deliver quality resident care.

Qualifikationen

• Mandatory enrollment or completion of a College Level Food Service Worker Program.
• Possess a current Safe Food Handling Certificate.

Reports to: Food Service Manager

The Dietary Aide provides support to the setup, preparation, serving and cleaning associated with all meal services in the Home.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring food is handled in a safe manner, including proper storage and labeling
• Assisting cooks in basic food preparation
• Executing proper food service in relation to internal and external guidelines and protocols
• Serving meals according to Resident diet orders
• Washing, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and dining room

Knowledge and Skills Required

• Mandatory enrollment or completion of a College Level Food Service Worker Program, meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act
• Possess a current Safe Food Handling Certificate
• Have a caring heart with a passion for serving others
• Passion for providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrated ability to be a team player

Additional Requirements

• A negative vulnerable sector check completed within 6 months of start date.
• TB screening documentation as required under the Southbridge Care Homes' Tuberculosis (TB) Screening Policy
