Job summary

Halton Healthcare in Georgetown, Ontario, is seeking a patient-focused Food Service Assistant to support meals for inpatients. You will prepare and service meals, transport and assemble trays, and maintain a clean kitchen area in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role offers permanent part-time status with up to 0.50 FTE, 7.5-hour rotating shifts Mon-Sun, and an emphasis on accuracy, teamwork and reliability to ensure exemplary patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail required.
• Good interpersonal skills required in order to interact with other Hospital staff and patients.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position - physically able to operate, load and unload the dishwasher and push heavy carts when transporting patient food trays to the floors.
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.

Job Description

Additional Information

Hours:Monday to Sunday - 7.5 hour shifts, and EOW (subject to change based on operational requirements)

Salary: $27.630 to $28.160 per hour
