Job summary
Penske Truck Leasing Canada Inc. in Saint-Laurent, QC seeks an Experienced Truck Mechanic’s Apprentice to join our team. You will help diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, and major components with supervision, while advancing your skills with industry-leading tools and training.
The role offers a competitive salary, shift premiums, and opportunities for advancement across Penske’s network. Must be enrolled in an apprenticeship and hold or be eligible for a DZ or 310S license; travel
Qualifications
- 2+ years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required
- Must be currently enrolled in an apprentice program
- Must maintain membership/registration with respective Government Agencies
- Will consider candidates with a 310S license or automotive background
- Specialized training in the repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair engines (gas and diesel) and power train including differentials and transmissions
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and prepare units for delivery/trade-ins
- Identify parts required and document repairs
- Inspect brakes, steering, HVAC, electrical, and safety systems
- Road test vehicles to verify repairs and performance
- Operate hand and power tools to service and repair trucks
