Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing is seeking an Experienced Truck Mechanic’s Apprentice in Oshawa, ON. The role offers a solid hourly pay, shift premium, and a path to advanced skills while working with modern trucks and tools.

You will diagnose, repair major components, and support maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable vehicles for customers. The position requires apprentice enrollment, a valid G/5 license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months, and a willingness to work a 2:30 PM–11:00 PM shift

Qualifications

• 2+ years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance.
• Currently enrolled in an apprentice program.
• Must have a valid driver's license (G/5) or ability to obtain one within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Repair and diagnose major components such as engines, transmissions and differentials with supervision.
• Inspect and recondition equipment for trade-ins and delivery readiness.
• Determine parts required and perform preventive maintenance.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs and safety.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and use hand and power tools as required.
