Penske Truck Leasing Canada Inc. in Boucherville, QC is seeking an Experienced Truck Mechanic's Apprentice for a better opportunity. You will work Sunday to Wednesday, 5:30 to 4:00, in a modern environment with industry-leading tools and a competitive salary.

As a Penske Technician II, you’ll help diagnose and repair major components under supervision, with growth potential and access to extensive training, tuition reimbursement, and employee discounts. Sign-on bonus applies.

Competenze

• 2+ years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance.
• Must be currently enrolled in an apprentice program.
• Must maintain membership/registration with respective Government Agencies.
• Will consider candidates with a 310S license or automotive background.
• Specialized training in repair and replacement of vehicle components preferred.
• Proficiency in the use of shop tools required.
• Current driver's license class G or class 5 and ability to obtain class DZ within 6 months of hire.
• Basic computer skills preferred for data entry into maintenance systems.
• Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to travel as necessary within the district (customers yards, training sites), work the required schedule.

Mansioni

• Demonstrate proficiency in repair and diagnosis of engines, power train, transmissions, clutches, electrical, HVAC and related systems.
• Perform mechanical and appearance reconditioning of equipment for trade-ins and new deliveries.
• Identify parts required for repair of disassembled units.
• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or ensure proper operation.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical parts.
• Raise trucks and heavy components using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
• Use hand and power tools and test instruments to diagnose and repair issues.
