Job summary
Rush Truck Centres of Canada is seeking Licensed or Apprentice Diesel Mechanics Level 3/Technicians for the Ottawa East dealership at 2716 Sheffield Rd., Ottawa, ON. This is a full-time permanent position reporting to the Service Manager.
Responsibilities include diagnosing problems, repairing trucks and related vehicles, reading job orders, documenting work, and maintaining OHSA compliance. SAP experience is a plus; AZ/DZ license is an asset.
Qualifications
- OHSA compliance knowledge and safe work practices.
- Ability to read job orders and diagnose vehicle issues.
- Experience documenting repair steps and outcomes.
- Familiarity with automotive diesel systems preferred.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose problems and repair trucks, buses, trailers, and vehicles.
- Perform general and detailed repair of engines and components.
- Read job orders and plan work procedures.
- Document work performed
- Overhaul gas or diesel engines
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Attend training and review factory bulletins
- Save and tag parts under warranty
- Other duties as assigned
