Job summary

Tubby’s Truck and Trailer in Dorchester, ON is seeking a Diesel Service Technician Apprentice to diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of diesel vehicles. You will work with service advisors, test systems, and ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications.

The role requires enrollment in a Diesel Service Technician Apprenticeship (310T/310J) and the ability to work independently; a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in year 3 or 4 of the Diesel Technician program and pursuing a 310T or 310J certificate.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with diesel systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Service Advisors to obtain work orders and specific customer requirements.
• Inspect engines and diesel systems, run tests, diagnose faults, and verify repairs.
• Repair or replace diesel components (fuel system, brakes, steering, suspension, engine, exhaust, electrical) to manufacturer specs.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair needs.
